James Dean’s art has sold in more than ninety galleries and shops across the United States. He has devoted his paintings to Pete the Cat for fifteen years and has turned his natural love for cats into his life’s work. James published his first adult book, The Misadventures of Pete the Cat, a history of his artwork, in 2006. When purchasing this book I was surprised not to find one review nor a list of the stories that was in the book. Here are the stories that the book includes: Pete the Cat and the Bad Banana, Go Pete Go, Sir Pete the Brave, Rock on Mom and Dad, Pete the Cat's Train Trip, Scuba Cat, Valentine's Day is Cool, Cavecat Pete, Pete the Cat at the Beach, Pete's Big Lunch, Robo-Pete, and Construction Destruction. This book was bigger than I expected, so that is a huge plus.

My five-and-a-half year old boy/girl twins LOVE Pete the Cat and we have a number of the books. I ordered this book when it first came out and we've been enjoying it a lot!The 5-Minute Pete the Cat Stories book is a wonderful compilation of stories for any Pete the Cat fan! This book contains 12 stories. Some of them are beginning reader stories and others are picture book stories. I've included the "Contents" page so you can see the titles included in this book. There are a total of 192 pages and each story is about 16 pages long. There are colorful illustrations to accompany the stories.We love this book! When I bought it, I didn't know what stories are in it so we already had some of them but this book is a fantastic deal to get all of these stories in one big collection. We often read a number of them before bed and they are great to read during the day and before bedtime! If you have a little reader who loves Pete the Cat, I highly recommend this book!

My daughter is a kindergarten teacher and will use this in her classroom The students love Pete the Cat!!! She uses this as a springboard into the I Can Read series. The stories hold their interest and then the students want to read more!!!

I searched high and low for this book at a few places. I had to end up finding it here. Anywho after issues with 2 books going missing finally got it. This is a Christmas present, but I always look thru my presents because of last years issue.... My son loves Pete the cat lately so I decided this would be a good book since it usually has most the separate books combined into one. He loves these 5 minute story books we have a few of other titles. Can't wait to read it to him at night! Also got another copy for our neighbors birthday coming up too!

My daughter's teacher had this book at school, and they are such great Pete the Cat stories, that I had to buy one for my daughter to own. I have not bought her many books--we were gifted with over 150 books before she was born and have library cards at 5 different library systems--but we had to own this Pete the Cat collection. It will be something that my daughter can share with her children.

My son loves this book. There are a lot of great stories inside and though the art leaves something to be desired (no fault of this book, just of Pete the cat in general). I will say, we have checked out some Pete the cat stories from the library and “Pete’s big lunch” is different. My son doesn’t care, it’s just an observation that the author must have changed some of the text in certain stories at some point. We read several of these stories every day. Would recommend.

My boys (3 and 2) love this book and all the stories inside. They have some of the same stories on thier Fire. Encourages questions...and if read with personality, will leave them in stitches. Great quality book, inside and out.

I've been active in occult circles for nearly 25 years. I've read a lot of books by a lot of authors. For the last decade, I've felt fairly jaded about the occult scene in general. Jason Miller has almost single handedly turned that around. I dig all of his books, but this one might just be my favorite. I've read a small pile of books on sex magic. Some are better than others. Most feel like they're just recycling previous material. I'd generally lost interest in the reading more until I heard Jason was coming out with a book on the topic. Jason faces forward and serves things straight up. He also stands on a rock solid lineage and decades of experience, which gives his work a level of clarity and power and efficacy that I rarely see. I'm not a new magician. I'm not easily impressed. If anything, I come at this stuff - new material on magic - with a cynical and skeptical bent. But Jason's really delivered here. This isn't the same old stuff you've read a million times. His work is lucid and accessible, stripped of most of the nonsense that clutters the occult scene. The material he included on the Inner Fire practice is, by itself, well worth the price the book. If you're new to the subject, start here. If you're practicing but not getting anywhere, give this a read. If you think you've heard it all before, buy this book anyway. You'll be pleasantly surprised.

This is the first book on the subject of sex magic that strips the topic of unnecessary elaboration, yet maintains the core psychospiritual patterns and practices necessary for the explorer and adventurer in this domain. Easy to recommend because of its eclecticism and freedom from magical doctrine. The author's personal preferences and dispositions shine through, which provides authenticity and a air of mentoring. I will be recommending it widely.

This book offers some nice insight into breathing techniques, tantra knowledge, and even channeling in ways. It's very technique based for those of you are ready to get started practicing.

This is the most sane text I have encountered on the subject--a sanity that is accomplished by providing both practical, brass tacks applications and an experimental results oriented philosophy while balancing that with ball tripper mythological gems from the traditions (did you know there was a Dali Lama that could eat spaghetti with his penis?!) The book provides a practical guide from 0-Mahasiddha, and whatever your level you can pick up a few pointers from reviewing it. Beginners will appreciate the stripped down presentation of the Inner Heat practice. Just for that chapter alone the book is worth its weight in gold. The text represents a really solid jump off point for practitioners venturing into those waters for the first time and it poses a good foundational review for all those ascended masters out there by providing a way to view the practice outside of the specialized lens of a given tradition.To be critical, the only thing I wish I had was a physical demonstration of the locks and breaths. But frankly, all texts that describe them suffer from that lack. There's only so much a book can do. But what it can do (and has done for me) is offer solid descriptions for personal experimentation and a vocabulary I can use to go out there and find the answers to my questions and aid in discerning the wheat from the new age chaff.Thanks for this one. Its good.

This book is interesting, I think Jason Miller is extremely knowledgeable, BUT this isn't what I was looking for in terms of casting spells with sex/ masterbation as a woman. I feel like it's more male sided. Besides that fact Jason has opened my mind to a whole world I didn't know existed!

If you know anything about Jason Miller, he is highly respected in the magical community. This book,as well as all his others, does not fail to be a wealth of information. You are given the tools, the information, the exercises and much more. I wouldn’t hesitate to buy this book again.

This book is no-nonsense and factual, and comes from a real practicing sorcerer and teacher of magic, which makes it stand out. Jason Miller has now established himself as a quality writer beyond doubt, in a field that is suffering from lack of authenticity. I have found some of his more exotic experience, like the Buddhist practices, enriching. The topic of sex magic could be approached from so many angles and elicits such controversy that some readers are bound to be dissappointed, but if the topic genuinely interests you then this is worth reading.

Amazing introduction to construction sites for toddlers and pre-schoolers! The authors do a fantastic job of breifly naming and describing vehicles, components and things that they’re doing (i.e. “T” is for teamwork) in the form of the ABC’s. The rhyming story is clever and allowed me to have a great conversation with my kids as we went along. They even brought out their other construction books by these authors to compare and talk about. They LOVE this little book. It is a fantastic addition and companion book to the other construction books from these authors. Greeat for Xmas stocking stuffer/gift or birthday gift!

If you or yours are fans of the Goodnight, Goodnight Construction Site family of books (we have the original, the Mighty Mighty followup and the plush excavator toy, so far), this is a really good book. If anything I think the prose in this one might be better than the two originals. It's not perfect as a teaching tool for ABC's (it doesn't follow the one letter >> one object model that those books do) but for a kid who's already got most of the letters down, its lyricism and humor is second to none, as I would expect from a Sherry Duskey Rinker work.I just hope everything is OK with Tom Lichtenheld. I couldn't find any information online about what had happened to their partnership. The art in this book is fine; my two year old didn't notice the difference.

It was about a 8 year-old boy named Owen Kiskaddon, who liked to make intricate designs with tiles, and his evil king. This twist on Richard III's tale immediately intrigued the woman, who promptly downloaded every book in the series. She fell in love with Owen, with Elysabeth Victoria Mortimer, and the mysterious magical land of Ceredigion.The mother travelled with Owen and his friends through many journeys, laughing and crying as the story called for her to do, until the story seemingly came to a happy ending in The King's Traitor. She was content to let the story go, but Mr. Wheeler wasn't. Trolling Facebook one day, the mother happened upon a notification from Mr. Wheeler that he had, indeed, written another tale. Convinced that it could not possibly be as good as the original stories, the mother asked for an advance copy. She patiently finished the book that she was reading then proceeded to read The Hollow Crown... and promptly began ignoring her children and thirsting for the next installment.The Hollow Crown is a clever and skillful weaving of the War of the Roses with Arthurian legend with the added thread of St. Joan's story. Honestly, it's a beautiful tale. Ceredigion reminds me of Narnia, and I just want to go there, let my mind rest, and follow the words of the Fountain. I wasn't so fond of The Maid's War, but The Hollow Crown wiped that all away. I see why Mr. Wheeler needed to write that tale down. It's an integral part of the overall story, in spite of being a stand-alone novel. The Hollow Crown is an achievement. I'm very much looking forward to the rest of the series. Outstanding work, Mr. Wheeler!I received an advance copy in exchange for an honest review.

I don't know why, but sometimes I tend to put off reading books that I know are PG rated. I get it into my head that they won't excite me or hold my interest like something grittier would. And then I pick up one of Jeff Wheeler's books and I remember why I keep buying Jeff Wheeler's books. Because his characters are flawed but they persevere; because there is drama without melodrama; because he deftly includes gut-wrenching events without resorting to Tarantino-like gore and language. Yes, he writes clean and wholesome stories, but they are heart-pounding, tear-jerking, I-gotta-read-more stories that never leave me sorry that I picked up the book.If you're looking for something for your children to read, the Kingfountain series would be great for ages 8 and up. Younger children might enjoy it as well, although I would suggest that you read it to younger children, as there may be subtleties or elements they won't pick up on without an adult to explain. Your tweens and teens will enjoy the series as well, and so will you.

Well he's gone and done it again! Taking me out of this realm of reality and swept me away on to another time and place which is wonderful in my book. Jeff Wheeler just has a knack for the finest storytelling of a complete other world with kings and lords and ladies and palaces. Let's not forget the magic, intrigue and courtly behavior. This story revolves around Trynne a daughter of Owen from one of the earlier books, and she is coming into her own and she is meant to become a Wizr like her mom, but, she is a lot like her dad. But there is more to it as well remember Magic! If you're going to read this I do recommend that you read the previous 3 because a lot of things tie in to this story and you may not get who or what the characters are speaking of. I highly recommend this for anyone of any age. Thanks go to Jeff Wheeler for sharing your heart and soul with us on this journey, I anxiously await the next one.

"I wrote in my note at the end of The King's Traitor that I thought the children of these main characters needed a turn on the stage."I was both excited and hesitant when I found out the Kingfountain series had another installment. It is exceptionally hard (or perhaps I'm just exceptionally picky?) to pull off a series that picks up a generation later, shifting the focus to the children of the characters you love while still maintaining the integrity of the original characters in the recent iteration. Too often I find they turn into paper parents - two dimensional characters I no longer know that are just...there.But boy howdy, was I ever pleasantly surprised that Jeff Wheeler pulled it off and pulled it off well. While The Hollow Crown is considered the fourth book of the Kingfountain series, I consider this book to be the first in a connected trilogy.The Hollow Crown opens up to introduce Trynne (Owen's daughter) and Fallon (Elyse's son). They've been raised fairly close despite being part of different households because of their parent's friendship. The way they pick on each other instantly reminds me of the saying about adolescent boys, "If he's picking on you it means he likes you."(I'd be lying if I didn't say this made me a little giddy because while I obviously wasn't able to have Owen+Elyse, maybe I could have that with their children. But I'm getting off track.)Trynne embodies everything I love about strong female leads. She's suffocating under the yoke of her mother's expectations to become a Wizr. Being a good daughter, she truly tries...but her heart lies not in studying books and magic but in battle and strategy.
