I love that it is told through stories that are compelling and very interesting, each one leaving you with a powerful example of how the lessons of good manners can be applied from medical school through retirement. The stories make it an entertaining read for everyone. You don't have to be a doctor to love it. Highly recommended.
What a delightful and thought provoking read. By using make believe Physicians, based on true events, she is able to tell stories that illustrate the fallacies of their beliefs and behavior. You'll not leave empty handed.
As the husband of a health-care professional, I had no idea of how many ways there are of coming under the professional gun -- including seemingly endless ways that have very little or nothing to do with actual health care. The horror stories in this book should be seen as an excellent wake-up call for doctors to put an end to any abrasive or arrogant behavior! Very well-written, readable book -- and I highly recommend it!
